Catch up (with or to) (Inseparable) = Tenemos tres definiciones

*Alcanzar a
alguien que esté por delante de ti.
*Recuperar algo
que debió de haberse hecho antes.
Ejemplos:
I can't have

up with some work= No puedo comer
contigo hoy, tengo que ponerme al día con el trabajo.
I'll catch
up with you in a minute, I'm gonna
get a newspaper =Te alcanzo en un minuto, voy a coger un periódico.
Alcánzalo = Catch up
to him.
Alcánzala más tarde =
Catch up to her later.
Alcánzalos luego=
Catch up to them later.
Ahora te alcanzo=
I’ll catch up with in a minute.
Alcanza el camión de
helados= Catch up to the ice-cream truck.
Ponte al día con tu
trabajo = Catch up with your work.
Lo alcanzó el pelotón = the group caught up to
him.

paperwork.
Recupera y duerme = Catch up with your sleep.
Alcánzalo = Catch up to it.
Tengo que alcanzarle antes de que se escape =
I have to catch up to him before he escapes.

¿Por qué no te
pusiste al día con tus deberes? = Why didn't you catch up with your homework?
Alcancémoslas luego = Let's catch up with them later.
Deberíamos
alcanzarlos luego = We must catch up with them later.
Tengo que
ponerme al día con algo de papeleo = I have to catch up with some paperwork.
Preferiría ver las noticias y ponermme al día
con lo que esté ocurriendo en el mundo = I'd rather watch the news and catch up
