Words Used to Describe Liquid

aerated adjective
containing many small bubbles of air.

boiling adjective
a boiling liquid has become so hot that there are bubbles in it and it is becoming a gas.

brackish adjective
brackish water has a slight taste of salt and is therefore not pure.

chlorinated adjective
chemistry chlorinated water has had chlorine added to it in order to kill bacteria.

dilute adjective
chemistry a dilute liquid has been mixed with water or another liquid to make it less strong.

flowing adjective
flowing water is moving along.

hard adjective
hard water does not mix easily with soap because it contains a lot of minerals.

rolling adjective
used for describing large areas of water.

saline adjective
containing salt.

soft adjective
soft water does not contain many natural minerals and is easy to use with soap.

standing adjective
standing water is very still and does not flow.

turbulent adjective
turbulent air or water moves suddenly and violently in different directions.

watery adjective
containing or filled with water.
