                = OBEY
*To accept and obey a decision, rule, agreement, etc, even though you may not agree with it: You have to abide by the referee’s decision.
*To accept or obey an agreement, decision or rule: Competitors must abide by the judge’s decision.
*To accept and act according to a law, an agreement, etc.: You’ll have to abide by the rules of the club. # We will abide by her decision. 
*If you abide by a law, an agreement, or a decision, you accept it and behave in accordance with it: Germany and Russia agreed informally to abide by the agreement. # Both parties must agree to abide by the court’s decision.
