Phrasal Verbs - Face up to


Face up to (Inseparable) = Dar la  cara, afrontar.
                               Face = Cara Up = Arriba To = A

Ejemplos:
We need to face up to the facts = Tenemos que afrontar los hechos.
We need to face up to him = Tenemos que darle la cara.
Da la cara = Face up to it.
¿Para qué dar la cara? = Why face up to it?
Afróntalos = Face up to it.
Fueron obligados a afrontarlo = They were forcé to face up to it.
Encuentro difícil hacer frente al matrimonio = I find it difficult to face up to marriage.
Tienes que hacer frente a los hechos = You have to face up to the facts.
Tienes que hacer frente a los cargos = You have to face up to the charges.
Tienes que hacer frente a las acusaciones = You have to face up to the accusations.
Debes afrontar el hecho de que bebes demasiado = You have to face up to the fact that you drink too much.
Él tuvo que afrontar el hecho de que todas las mujeres son iguales = He had to face up to the fact that women are equal.
