Phrasal Verbs - Put out


Put out (Separable) = Tenemos dos definiciones.
                               *Extinguir / Apagar algo que se está quemando.
                               *Sacar algo fuera (outside).
                               Put = Poner  Out = Fuera

Ejemplos:

I took the firemen two hours to put out the fire = Los bomberos tardaron dos horas en apagar el fuego.
Put out the cigarette before you come in = Apaga el cigarillo antes de entrar.
Put it out! = ¡Apágalo!
Put it outside = Sácalo afuera.
Apaga el cigarillo = Put out the cigarette.
Los bomberos apagaron/extinguieron el fuego = The firefighters puto ut the fire.
Tardaron dos horas en apagar/extinguir el fuego = It took them two hours top ut out the fire.
Tardaron dos horas en extinguirlo = It took them two hours to put it out.
Apaga la llama = Put out the flame.
Apágala = Put it out.
¿No apagaron el fuego? = Didn’t they  puto ut the fire?
¿o apagaron? = Did they put it out?
¿has sacado la planta? = Have you put the plant outside?
Sácala = Put it outside.
Extiende las manos = Put out your hands.
Extiéndelas = Put them out.
Apágalo = Put it out.
Apágalos = Put them out.
Saca la ropa para que se seque = Put the clothes out to dry.
Les dejaron fuera de la competición They put them out of the compepition.
Apaga el cigarrillo = Put out the cigarette.
No lo apagues en el vaso = Don’t put it out in glass.
No lo apagues ahí = Don’t put it out there.
Debería poner los zapatos afuera = I should put my shoes outside.
Por favor, apaguen sus cigarillos = Put out your cigarettes, please.
Apáguenlos = Put them out.
Apágalo = Put it out.
Cuando apagas un fuego, lo pones afuera = When you put out a fire, you put it out.
